Beverly Sills
Beverly Sills, coloratura soprano with the Metropolitan Opera Company, appeared in a Wabash Valley Music Association concert in January 1972. Miss Sills, who was recognized as one of the world’s great vocalist, sang with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, then under the direction of Izler Solomon.
Miss Sills sang music of Bellini, Rossini, and Donizetti. She greeted concertgoers backstage after the program, and she met with volunteers of the Wabash March of Dimes
